10/31/20 – Black Rock Lost Subject

SAR Staff, the SVU, and personnel from Hunter’s Aide began responding to the Black Rock Desert to locate a subject that was lost and disoriented. As teams were nearing staging, a WCSO Deputy from Gerlach located the subject and guided her back to civilization.

10/24/20 – Flume Trail EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR responded to the Tunnel Creek Cafe to locate and rescue a mountain biker who had gone off the trail, causing injuries, and possibly requiring a tech rescue. She was able to make it back up to the trail and begin walking out with her husband. NLTFPD made patient contact and initiated transport.

10/14/20 – Hoge Rd. EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and the SVU responded to an area of Hoge Rd. to locate an injured mountain biker. As teams were arriving at staging, TMFR located the subject and transported him to REMSA at staging.

10/12/20 – Garson Rd. EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty team medics, and the SVU responded to the entrance to Garson Rd. to assist TMFR in searching for a subject involved in an ATV accident. Care Flight was also in the area. Care Flight was able to land about 1/2 mile from the subject’s location. A SVU side x side carrying two Care Flight medics and one Hasty Team medic arrived at the location and assisted in transporting the subject the 1/2 mile to the helicopter. The subject was flown to the hospital.
