9/25/21 – Pyramid Lake Missing Paddleboarder

SAR Staff, Hasty Team swimmers, the SVU, and WCSAR were requested to respond to Pelican Point on the report of a paddleboarder that was last seen in the early afternoon and had not returned by 6:30p.m. Further investigation found that the subject was attempting to paddle to the Pyramid and back. As SAR teams were responding, the subject was spotted by Pyramid Lake Police approximately one mile south of Marina Beach and well out in the lake. Pyramid Lake launched a boat and recovered the subject. SAR response was cancelled.

9/13/21 – Hidden Valley Park EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team BC, SVU, and WCSAR BC responded to Hidden Valley Park to locate a mountain bike rider with possible serious injuries in the hills to the east. TMFR was also on scene, as was REMSA. The subject was located as SAR teams were arriving. Although a few members hiked to the location of the accident, SAR response was cancelled.

9/2/21 – Culpepper Drive EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team Medics, and the SVU were requested to stage on Culpepper Drive, in Sparks, to locate a runner in the hills above this location that was having a medical episode. As teams were en route, REMSA located the subject. SAR response was cancelled.

8/30/21 – Evidence Search

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR were requested for an evidence search on the Mt. Rose Highway near Sky Tavern. The item of interest was located.
