9/30/2018 – Thomas Creek EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR responded to the Thomas Creek Trail staging area to assist TMFPD and REMSA with locating, treating, and transporting an injured hiker. The subject was located at the wilderness boundary, treated by medics, and transported down to staging.

9/29/2018 – Lost Hiker

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR responded to the Michael Thompson Trailhead to search for a lost subject near the Hunter Creek Falls. Using a cell phone ping, the subject was located and escorted back to staging.

9/24/2018 – Continued Search for Missing Subject

SAR Staff, CARDA, Hasty Team,and WCSAR responded to the Tannenbaum Events Center to search areas in the vicinity for a missing subject whose car was located in the parking lot. She had been reported missing 9/19. Negative results. Search has been suspended, but further investigation will continue.

9/22/2018 – Pyramid Lake Boat in Distress

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU began responding to Pyramid Lake on the report of a boat that was in need of assistance in the area of the Pyramid. As SAR assets were leaving town, it was learned that a private citizen was towing the boat back to Pelican Dock. SAR response continued until Pyramid Lake Police notified SAR Staff that the boat was safely back at Pelican Dock. SAR response was cancelled.
