2/28/21 – Virginia Peak Stranded Vehicles

SAR Staff, the SVU, and a Hasty medic were requested to respond to a staging area at Wilcox Rd. and Quaking Aspen Rd. to access the area where three vehicles, 11 subjects, and one dog were stuck in snow. The entourage was located at the cell phone ping and were safely transported down to staging.

2/28/21 – Raleigh Heights EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, SVU, and WCSAR BC were requested to respond to the Raleigh Hills Park to locate an injured subject from a UTV accident. Before SAR personnel arrived at staging, TMFR located the subject, packaged him, and began transporting him to staging. Code 4 for SAR responders.

2/26/21 – Dog Valley Stranded Subject

SAR Staff, the SVU, and a Hasty Medic responded to Bordertown to access a subject that had been stuck in his vehicle overnight on the road to the Crystal Peak Mine. The subject was located at the coordinates provided by a dispatch ping. The vehicle was relatively easily extracted and the subject was escorted back to staging.

2/18/21 – Lost Snowshoer

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, SVU, and WCSAR BC responded to the Tahoe Meadows to locate a lost snowshoer that was in the Ophir Creek drainage. NLTFPD personnel were able to access the subject first, and guided her out to arriving SAR personnel and back to staging.

2/15/20 – Missing Person

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR assisted WCSO Patrol in searching for a missing dementia subject in the area of Alyce Taylor Elementary School. The subject was located at a local hospital.
