1/26/24 – Henness Pass Rd. EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, SVU, and WCSAR BC responded to Dog Valley Rd. to locate a subject that was having a medical episode. BC personnel assisted TMFR, REMSA, and Care Flight with packaging the subject for transport.

1/25/24 – Stranded Skiers

SAR Staff, Hasty Skiers, and WCSAR BC responded to both the Slide side of the Mt. Rose Ski Resort and to Davis Creek Park to access two skiers that had skied out of bounds and ended up just above the “slide” area of Slide Mountain. Mt. Rose Ski Patrol was able to get in voice contact with them and encouraged them to walk back up to a point where they could be guided back to the ski resort. SAR assets did not deploy.

1/17/24 – Water Rescue

SAR Staff, Hasty divers and swiftwater, SVU shore support, and WCSAR shore support began responding to Kiley Lake in Spanish Springs on the report of people in the water. The report turned out to not be correct and SAR response was cancelled.

1/14/24 – Dog Rescue

SAR Staff, Hasty Rope Rescue and BC, SVU, and WCSAR BC responded to Quail Canyon Rd. to perform a rescue of a hunting dog and its’ owner that were stranded on a cliff face. Both parties were rescued without incident.

1/10/24 – Stranded Subject Quail Canyon Rd.

SAR Staff and the SVU responded to Quail Canyon Rd. off of SR445 to locate a vehicle with one subject that had slid off the road. Once the site was located, the subject chose not to be transported out to staging. SAR assets returned to staging. As this was occurring, another SVU team was sent in on a different road from SR446 to locate a PLPD Officer that was stuck on a road, trying to access the subject mentioned earlier. Due to heavy snow and weather conditions, the officer was transported down to staging.
