SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR assisted RPD with an evidence search related to the investigation of a homicide in SW Reno.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR responded to the Mt. Rose Summit parking lot to locate a lost hiker. The subject had provided coordinates, which put her at the upper end of Bronco Creek. Back-country personnel hiked to the location, located the subject, and escorted her back to staging. Medical was not needed.

A subject that had become stuck the day before was brought into Hunter’s Aid by an unrelated party. Hunter’s Aid personnel took the subject back to the stuck vehicle off of Nellie Springs Rd. and assisted in getting the vehicle out of its predicament.

SAR Staff and the Hasty Team responded to the Winter’s Creek Lodge side of Slide Mountain to assist TMFPD with an injured hang glider pilot that crashed approximately 200 yards downslope from the launch area. The injured subject was packaged in a stokes and brought up to the staging area with the help of a low-angle rope system.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to an area near the Rail City Casino in Sparks to assist Sparks PD with an on-going murder investigation.
