11/28/19 – Stranded Subjects on Peavine

SAR Staff and the SVU responded to the Virginia St. entrance to Peavine to locate and transport five subjects that were stranded during a snowstorm on the west side of Peavine. Side x sides were not able to get to the location, so a snowcat was brought in to rescue the individuals. All subjects were transported down to staging.

11/1/19 – Overdue Hunter

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, and the SVU responded to an area near Old Camp, north of SR447 to search for an overdue elderly hunter. Using information from the reporting party (her hunting partner) and statistical probability information, the missing person was located approximately 3.5 miles from the point last seen. RAVEN guided a ground unit to the location, and she was transported to staging.

10/24/19 – Evidence Search

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR assisted WCSO detectives with searching an area near the Moon Rocks for evidence related to an on-going missing person case.

10/21/19 – Stranded Hiker and Dog

SAR Staff and the Hasty Team responded to the Chimney Beach parking lot to locate and rescue a stranded off-trail hiker and his 165lb dog that had hiked to the Marlette Lake area. He subject and dog were located in a creek drainage area and were guided back to the trail and down to the staging location.
