10/13/19 – Stranded 4×4

A subject that had become stuck the day before was brought into Hunter’s Aid by an unrelated party. Hunter’s Aid personnel took the subject back to the stuck vehicle off of Nellie Springs Rd. and assisted in getting the vehicle out of its predicament.

10/5/19 – Crashed Hang glider

SAR Staff and the Hasty Team responded to the Winter’s Creek Lodge side of Slide Mountain to assist TMFPD with an injured hang glider pilot that crashed approximately 200 yards downslope from the launch area. The injured subject was packaged in a stokes and brought up to the staging area with the help of a low-angle rope system.

10/3/19 – Evidence Search

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to an area near the Rail City Casino in Sparks to assist Sparks PD with an on-going murder investigation.

10/2/19 – Pyramid Lake Boat in Distress

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU began responding to Pyramid Lake on the report of a boat in distress near the Willows. IMT was able to contact the RP, and they were having a rough time in the choppy waters and called for assistance in case something happened. The water calmed down enough for them to navigate back to Pelican Docks and were met by SAR Staff. SAR response was cancelled.
