4/11/19 – Long Valley Rd. Stuck Motorist

SAR Staff and the SVU responded to Bordertown to locate a stuck vehicle on Long Valley Rd. The subject called 911 saying that she was stuck in snow. When SVU assets located her, a CHP SUV and the subject’s brother-in-law were on scene attempting to extricate the vehicle. SAR assets returned to staging.

4/6/19 – Toll Rd. EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU began responding to the Toll Rd. area on the report of two injured ATV riders that were off the side of Toll Rd., approximately 1.25 miles above where the road turns to dirt. Before SAR teams were able to get to the scene, a REMSA ambulance was able to drive to the location. SAR response was cancelled.

3/26 – 4/2/19 – Continuing Efforts at Silver Lake

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR continued their efforts throughout the past eight days to locate the missing kayaker in Silver Lake. Shore checks, binocular work, boat patrols, ROV deployment, and sidescan sonar efforts all resulted in negative results.
