SAR Staff and the Hasty Team assisted Sparks Fire and Sparks PD with a vehicle that was pushed into the north end of Sparks Marina. The vehicle stayed on the surface long enough to float a good distance of shore, then sank in 30′ of water, ending upside down in the mud. Hasty divers determined that no one was in the vehicle, then attached tow lines from the shore so that a tow truck could drag it out of the lake.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Pinehaven entrance to Hunter Lake on the report of a stuck 4×4 with two subjects. Cell phone ping coordinates placed the subjects on the main road, approximately half way to the lake. Teams located the vehicle, stuck in snow, at the coordinates, and due to the fact that the SUV was blocking the road, it was decided to extricate it. The subjects, who had been with the vehicle almost 24 hours, did not feel comfortable with driving it back down to staging, so it was parked off the road. The subjects were transported down to staging where a waiting deputy then took them home.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Sheeps Flat area on the Mt. Rose Highway to search for three lost female snowshoers. Cell phone pings were used to send a foot team to their location and guide them safely to the highway. They were then transported safely to staging.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Arrow Creek area on a report of a female subject that was missing in the vicinity of Whites Creek, just east of Arrow Creek. Upon arrival, the subject told dispatch that she would not come out unless everyone left the area (she had been drinking). SAR assets were released from the call.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and SVU assisted WCSO Deputies in recovering a deceased subject that was found by a hiker on the east side of Peavine, approximately two miles above Hoge Rd.
