SAR Staff, SVU, and WOOF assisted WCSO detectives in continuing a wide area search for evidence in an area north of Nixon on SR447.
SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to Pelican boat launch to assist PLPTP in searching for two subjects that had left the Nets area on a PWC, but did not return. As SAR teams were arriving at the lake, the Pyramid Lake Police boat located the subjects on a very small island to the north of the Pyramid, with their PWC swamped. They could not get in close enough to pick up the subjects in the rough water. M10 and M20 were launched with the plan of getting M20 in close enough to either retrieve the subjects or to have Hasty swimmers bring the subjects out to the boat. With the rough water, it was decided to use the Hasty swimmer plan, which worked well. The PWC was left on the rocks, and the subjects were safely transported back to staging.
