7/29/2016 – Overturned Boat at Pyramid Lake

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU responded to Pyramid Lake to locate a possible overturned boat in the area of Sand Hole Beach. As more information was learned, the overturned boat was possibly a group of three large rafts that went missing from a beach the previous day. The Pyramid Lake SAR boat was first to leave the dock, but was redirected to a boat in distress that needed a tow. Marine 10 went to the location and found three large towable rafts tied together approximately one mile off shore. The rafts were deflated and brought on board.
