SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to a staging location approximately one mile up from the large lookout above Incline Village on the Mt. Rose Highway to search for two elderly snowshoers that called 911 stating that they were lost. A cell phone ping placed them near the upper portion of the Incline Creek Drainage. A team of five were deployed from staging to work their way into the location. The weather was treacherous with winds, snow, and darkness. The team located the subjects at the location of the ping, and guided them out along a contour line that was essentially the Incline Flume Trail, back to the Mt. Rose Highway. The subjects and SAR personnel were transported back to staging.
