4/23/2017 – Missing Dementia Patient

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR began resoponding to a callout for a missing dementia patient in the area of O’Callahan and Woodhaven in Sparks. Shortly after the page, the subject was safely located. SAR response was cancelled.

4/22/2017 – Missing Aircraft

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR were requested to assist Sierra County and numerous other agencies in searching for a missing airplane that disappeared on a flight from Truckee, CA, to Petaluma, CA on Monday, 4/17 with two occupants on board. This was the fifth day of the search. Ground teams searched multiple areas, centered around Webber Lake, but due to dense tree cover and deep snow, nothing was located.

4/18/2017 – Missing Juveniles

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to assist Sparks PD to search for two missing 12yo male juveniles in the Disc/Sparks Blvd. area. Teams checked businesses in the area, open fields, Shadow Mountain Park, and the neighborhood that the subjects lived in. They two boys were located approximately four miles away near the area of Vista and Interstate 80, safe and sound.

4/18/2017 – Missing Juvenile

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR began responding to the Wingfield Springs area on the report of a missing 10yo. The callout quickly went Code 4 when the missing juvenile was located, safe.
