7/28/25 EMS Caughlin Ranch Area

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and WCSAR BC assisted RFD in stabilizing and transporting a subject having a medical episode in the hills above Caughlin Ranch. The subject was taken by wheel and stokes to a waiting ambulance.

7/26/25 – Marlette Flume Trail EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and WCSAR BC went from the previous call to the Tunnel Creek Cafe staging location to access a mountain biker that had gone off the edge of the trail and down a very steep mountainside. He was unable to get back up to the trail. As SAR assets were about to deploy, NLTFPD was able to locate the subject. SAR response was cancelled.

7/26/25 – Tahoe Meadows EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and WCSAR BC staged at Tahoe Meadows to access a subject with medical complaints. As teams were arriving at staging, NLTFPD located the subject. SAR assets were sent to a second call at Tunnel Creek.

7/22/25 – Toll Rd. Stranded Subject

SAR Staff, a Hasty medic, and the SVU responded to the Toll Rd. area to locate and assist an 85yo subject that was stranded on Toll Rd. and was quite confused. A medical evaluation showed nothing out of the ordinary, so the subject was assisted up to SR341 and back to Virginia City where he lived.

7/20/25 – Hunter Creek Evidence Search

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, SVU, and WCSAR BC staged in the Caughlin Ranch area to access a location where human remains had been located by a hiker. BC foot teams were transported by the SVU to a drop-off location where they then hiked approximately one mile to a spot for collection of evidence, then returned to the drop-off location for transport back to staging.
