SAR Staff and metal detector certified SAR personnel were requested for an evidence search in the Sun Valley area.
SAR Staff and the SVU staged on SR447 to locate a subject that had become lost while following Google maps. After quickly being located, the subject was guided to staging, then to Gerlach, and finally, to the Fernley area where family members were waiting to complete the trip home.
SAR Staff, Hasty swimmers, and the SVU responded to Pyramid Lake to locate and rescue two paddleboarders that were blown out into the lake from the North Nets area. M20 located the subjects approximately 2/3 of the way across the lake, just northwest of Anaho Island. The subjects were cold, but otherwise medically fine. They did not have life vests with them.
SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and WCSAR BC responded to the Thomas Creek Trailhead to search for an overdue elderly female hiker and her dog. While en route, one of the SAR responders spotter the subject and the dog walking along the Mt. Rose Highway, just west of Wedge Parkway.
