SAR Staff and the SVU staged in the Palomino Valley area to access and rescue a family of three that, due to snow, had slid off a road and became high-centered. The three subjects were rescued and transported down to staging.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR assisted with evacuation notices for the Callahan Fire. Strong winds were moving the fire quickly, but rain and cold temperatures dampened the progress, keeping it at approximately 65 acres,

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR assisted RPD in NE Reno with an evidence search related to a recent homicide.

SAR Staff and the SVU staged at Little Washoe Lake to access a vehicle that was stuck in sand on the edge of a ravine. The SVU transported the mother of a 5yo boy that was in the Jeep to the site to comfort the child, then transported the child and mother out to staging. An off-road recovery group had also been contacted by the owner of the vehicle and was able to extract him and get him back on the road.
