5/21/21 – Double Hot EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty/REMSA medics, Hasty, RAVEN, SVU, and NAS Fallon were requested to respond to Double Hot hot springs on the Black Rock playa for a subject that had fallen into the hot springs and was severely scalded. The subject was given medical treatment, packaged, then flown by NAS Fallon to Renown.

5/19/21 – Mt. Rose Lost Hikers

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and WCSAR BC responded to the Mt. Rose Summit parking lot to locate two subjects that were lost and cold. Cell phone coordinates placed them about 750′ northwest of the Galena Creek Falls. Ground teams located them at the location, provided warm clothing, and guided them back to staging.

5/13/21 – Truckee River Body Recovery

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR assisted Sparks PD in recovering a deceased subject located in the Truckee River just east of the East McCarran Bridge. Teams also conducted an evidence search in the area, in and along the river banks.

5/11/21 – Jones Creek Trail EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and WCSAR BC assisted TMFR and REMSA with locating, packaging, and transporting a hiker that had suffered an upper body injury. The patient was safely moved to staging.

5/8/21 – Pyramid Lake Boat in Distress

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU responded to Pyramid Lake for a 911 call reporting their boat was stranded in the middle of the lake and was out of gas. Due to the type of phone being used, the number would not allow a return call. M10 and M20 searched the entire lake with no results.
