6/13/21 – Pyramid Lake Rafters

SAR Staff, Hasty swimmers, and the SVU began responding to Pyramid Lake on the report of three juveniles being blown out into the lake on a raft. The Pyramid Lake Fire Rescue boat was able to launch and recover the subjects. SAR response was cancelled.

6/13/21 – Bronco Creek Lost Hiker

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, SVU, and WCSAR BC responded to the Garson Rd fire station to locate a hiker that was lost while hiking part of the Tahoe Rim Trail. SVU side x sides transported BC teams to a drop-off point approximately 2.25 miles from the subject’s ping location. The subject and her dog were located and guided back to the side x sides for transport down to staging.

6/12/21 – Jones Creek Trail EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team BC, and WCSAR BC responded to the north Galena Creek Trailhead to access a hiker who was having a medical episode. SAR teams, TMFR, and REMSA located the subject on the Jones Creek Loop Trail, packaged her in a wheeled stokes, and brought her to staging for further medical treatment.

6/12/21 – Jumbo Grade Stuck Vehicles

SAR Staff, a Hasty medic, and the SVU began responding to the Jumbo Grade OHV staging area on the report of an overturned vehicle. As more information was learned while SAR teams were en route, it turned out to be two vehicles off the road in a ditch, and all occupants were uninjured and had walked out. SAR response was cancelled.

6/7/21 – Washoe Lake Water Rescue

SAR Staff and Hasty Team swimmers assisted TMFR with locating two subjects on the west side of Washoe Lake near the Bellvue exit that were floundering a couple of hundred yards off shore. As SAR resources were beginning to arrive, the subjects were able to self-rescue to the shore.
