9/9/19 – Hungry Fire Evacuations

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR were requested to perform fire evacuation notices for the west side of the Pyramid Lake Highway in the Pebble Creek subdivision and homes to the north, including areas on Winnemucca Ranch Rd.

9/8/19 – Dollar Point Drowning Recovery

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU assisted Placer County and Douglas County in locating a drowing subject in the Dollar Point area. An ROV was used for searching. The subject was located and recovered.

8/31/19 – Injured Hiker and Dog

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR were assisted by TMFPD for callout dealing with a hiker that had taken a fall on the Hunter Creek Trail. Her dog also took a tumble. It was initially reported that the dog was not ambulatory, but when the first responding searchers reached their location, the dog was able to walk, and the hiker had some scrapes. They were escorted down to staging.

8/27/19 – Mt. Rose Disabled Motorist

SAR Staff and the SVU began responding to the Mt. Rose Ski Resort parking lot to access a subject whose vehicle was stuck on a dirt road in the area, and he was disabled and not able to walk out. As teams were arriving in the area of staging, another vehicle came across him and got him out of his stuck predicament. Further SAR response was cancelled.
