5/6/2018 – Lost Hiker

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR responded to the Tunnel Creek Cafe for staging to locate a lost hiker on the Tahoe Flume Trail. NLTFPD located the subject before SAR teams arrived at staging.

5/5/2018 – Backcountry EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, and WCSAR were requested to locate an injured backcountry skier, just to the east of Tamarack Peak. RAVEN hoisted down two Hasty personnel to package the subject, then completed a hoist of the subject. The injured subject was transported to a landing zone at the Mt. Rose Summit parking lot where he was transferred to a NLTFPD ambulance.

5/5/2018 – Pyramid Lake Stalled Boat

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU responded to Pelican Point Dock at Pyramid Lake at the request of Pyramid Lake Tribal Police to locate a stalled boat near Anaho Island. The boat was not in distress, just having mechanical issues. M10 and M20 located the boat and subjects, took them in tow, and delivered them to the Pelican Point Dock.

4/22/18 – Missing Juveniles

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR began responding to the Pleasant Valley area to search for two missing children. As SAR teams were en route, the children were located. SAR response was cancelled.

4/22/2018 – Injured ATV Rider

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR assisted TMFPD and Care Flight in locating and transporting an injured ATV rider on the west side of Peavine Mountain. The rider had experienced a roll-over accident, and had injured an ankle. After initial treatment and packaging, she was moved to a Care Flight helicopter that was able to land about 75 yards away.
