11/8/2018 – Peavine Code 50

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Las Brisas area to assist with the investigation and transport of a deceased subject located by a hiker near a truck that had gone off a dirt road on the south side of Peavine.

11/7/2018 – Dog Valley Stranded Motorists

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and SVU began responding to the Verdi entrance to Dog Valley to locate two subjects that were stranded in the Dog Valley area. As teams were en route, the subjects called back to say that a good samaritan had come by and was extricating them from their predicament. SAR response was cancelled.

11/4/2018 – Moonrocks EMS

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR began responding to the Moonrocks area on the report of an injured dirt-biker. As teams were beginning their response, it was learned that Care Flight was out with the patient. SAR response was cancelled.

11/3/2018 – Lost Hikers

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR responded to Davis Creek Park to locate some lost hikers. The hikers were located on the Ophir Creek Trail and escorted to Davis Creek Park.

11/3/2019 – Fish Springs Plane Crash

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR were requested to stage at a location on Fish Springs Rd. on the report of a plane crash in the area. A home-built ultra-light crashed with one occupant on board. Care Flight, TMFPD, and Sierra Army Depot also responded, assisting in the extrication of the injured pilot. Once removed from the aircraft, he was flown to a local hospital.
