SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR were again requested to conduct voluntary evacuation notices for areas in the path of the Winnemucca Ranch Rd. fire.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Jones Creek/Whites Creek Trail on the report of a hiker that was found unresponsive. Due to the medical condition of the subject, and the need for quick medical care, RAVEN was asked to respond for a hoist. The subject was hoisted and brought down to a LZ at the Thomas Creek Trailhead parking lot.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Palomino Valley area to conduct fire evacuations for areas threatened by the Winnemucca Ranch Rd. fire.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR began responding to the Mt. Rose Summit parking lot on the report of three lost hikers without any injuries. While en route, the subjects called back to say that they had located the trail and did not need assistance. SAR response was cancelled.

The SVU performed patrols on the water at Pyramid Lake. Reminders were given to paddleboarders and kayakers concerning the need for PFD’s. Dispatch was called toward the end of the day concerning a subject that had part of her finger pulled off by a tow rope from a ski boat. EMS responded to treat and transport.
