SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the High Rock Canyon area, north of Gerlach, to locate two subjects that had activated their SPOT device due to mechanical issues with their vehicle. Teams located the subjects with shredded tires, and transported them out to staging. The subjects and their tires were brought to the Reno area.
SAR Staff and the Hasty Team returned to search areas of the Truckee River, looking for the missing subject from 5/7. Hasty Team members located the subject, underwater, in the area of the Glendale Bridge. The body was recovered and turned over to authorities.
SAR Staff, RAVEN, and the SVU assisted Lyon County SO and Lyon County SAR in searching for a missing subject from April 28th. Nothing of interest was located.
SAR Staff and the Hasty Team searched areas of the Truckee River for the missing subject from 5/7. Nothing was located.
SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, and WCSAR assisted RPD, RFD, SPD, and SFD in searching for a subject that either fell or jumped into the Truckee River at around 9:00p.m. in the area of downtown Reno. The river and shoreline was checked from Virginia Street to the Vista area. Nothing was located and the search was suspended just after midnight.
