7/10/2016 – Lost Subject

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR assisted Pyramid Lake Tribal Police in locating a lost subject somewhere in the Pyramid Lake area. Further cell phone ping information placed him in the Needles area, with possible disorientation due to a medical issue. A ground team came across the subject and his vehicle close to the ping coordinates, but no where near a road. The subject’s vehicle was stuck and displayed exterior damage due to the area he was driving in. He was transported to a Hasty vehicle, who took him to a REMSA ambulance for evaluation.

7/5/2016 – Lost Mountain Biker

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Lakeview Estates entrance to Hobart Reservoir to search for a mountain biker who was lost and stated that she was at The Red House. The subject was from the Czech Republic, so was not familiar with the area. Two ground teams took the road that leads to The Red House, which is a historical site, and found the subject at that location. Water, snacks, and warm clothing were supplied, and she was transported back to staging. She was met by the owner of the bike rental business and given a ride back to Tunnel Creek Station at Incline.

7/2/2016 – Missing subject in the Truckee River

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR began responding to Mayberry Park to search for a missing subject in the Truckee River. As teams were arriving at staging, it was discovered that the subject had floated down to the area of the Arlington Bridge, and had exited the river. He was located by a WCSAR member on Mayberry Drive as he was responding to the search.
