The SVU conducted safety patrols at Pyramid Lake for the Memorial Day Holiday.
SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR began responding to the intersection of Hwy 445/446 to search for a missing/lost horse rider in the Pyramid Lake area. Before teams left the Reno area, the subject was located. SAR resources were cancelled.
SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and RAVEN were requested to perform a hoist of an injured subject in the Moon Rocks area. Before lift-off, Care Flight was able to land in the area and transport the subject.
SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR began responding to the Verdi area to search for three missing teenagers on air mattresses, last seen in the Floriston area. As teams were arriving at the staging location, the subjects were located, safe, on the California side of the Truckee River.
SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Thomas Creek trailhead to assist REMSA and TMFPD with an injured hiker. SAR teams worked with personnel on site and helped transport the subject down the trail to a waiting ambulance.
