7/18/2015 – Subjects in the Water

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR began responding to Pyramid Lake on a report of “3-5 people in the water”. Before SAR arrival, PLPD located the camp the reporting party was in and was able to account for all subjects.

6/26/2015 – Hang Glider Crash

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, SVU, and WCSAR assisted Careflight, NLTFPD, and TMFPD in locating a crashed hang glider on the south side of Slide Mountain. Teams were deployed from the Slide Mountain parking lot and Davis Creek Park after Careflight was able to give coordinates of the crash site, which was on a very steep slope on the northeast edge of the “slide” area. Foot teams coming from the top, as well as a Hasty Team medic that was hoisted down to the vicinity of the coordinates, were first on scene, and determined that the subject was deceased. Teams packaged the subject for hoisting, and he was flown to a helipad at the Bowers Mansion fire house.

6/24/2015 – EMS Callout

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the White’s Creek Trailhead to locate a subject that was complaining of a leg injury. REMSA and TMFPD was already on scene when SAR arrived, but she was transported part way on a wheeled litter, then transferred to a side x side for the remaining trip to staging.

6/21/2015 – Fire Evacuation

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Michael Thompson Trailhead on Woodchuck to perform evacuations of the Hunter Creek Trail, as well as evacuation notices to neighborhoods in the path of the White Fir Fire.
