7/8/25 – Pyramid Lake Paddleboarders in Distress

SAR Staff, Hasty Swimmers, and SVU Boat Crews responded to Pyramid Lake to assist PLPD in rescuing two paddleboarders that had been blown out into the lake and did not have the energy to get back to shore. They were also not wearing PFDs. On PWCs, PLPD located the subjects just as it was getting dark and supplied them with PFDs. They stayed with them until M10 got on scene, about a mile off of Washout Beach. The paddleboarders were brought on board, with their paddleboard. M10 escorted the PLPD PWC assets back to Sutcliffe, and brought the subjects back to Pelican Docks.
