SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the north end of the Winnemucca Dry Lake bed to search for a stranded subject that was stuck and broken down.  The subject had hiked from his vehicle to a high point to get cell service.  He gave his coordinates that were shown on his phone, but unknown to the SAR coordinators, the subject evidently left out a decimal point in both coordinates when relaying the message to dispatch.  Teams searched the presumed area without any success.  It was then discovered that instead of the coordinates being in degrees/decimal degrees, they should have been given as degrees/minutes/decimal minutes.  RAVEN then flew to the new location and located the subject in the Smoke Creek playa.  They transported the subject to waiting deputies in Gerlach.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR assisted WCSO Deputies in searching an area in SW Reno for items related to a burglary.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and WCSAR assisted WCSO in transporting a deceased subject from a hill in a remote area of Rancho Haven, down to authorities.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR continued searching for a missing subject from Friday.  At approximately 0830 hrs., she was located – alive, by some private citizens looking through deep vegetation near the Truckee River, across from Ambrose Park.  She was transported to a local hospital.

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, SVU, and WCSAR continued the search from the previous day, re-searching the area in a more thorough fashion.  Reverse 911 calls were sent out, media outlets displayed information, and church groups knocked on many doors in the neighborhoods to the east of Dorokstar Park.  Although possible sightings were reported by citizens in the Reno area, the subject was not located.
