Mountain Biker Rescue – 11/1/13

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Keystone Canyon Trailhead to assist RFD and REMSA with locating and transporting a subject that had crashed while mountain biking.  His location was approximately one mile up the trail.  The subject was packaged and transported on a wheeled litter down to a waiting ambulance.  When teams were in a debriefing, a subject approached SAR Staff, stating that he had come across an older individual in the hills that appeared to possibly need assistance.  He described the location, approximately two miles past the “R” above the Keystone Canyon west trailhead.  SAR Staff was able to locate the subject – he was not in need of any medical assistance – just out for a walk in the hills.
