9/8/23 – Ophir Creek Lost Subjects

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, the SVU, and WCSAR BC responded to Franktown Rd. for two subjects that were lost on the Ophir Creek Trail. As teams were arriving at staging, a land owner in the area came across the two subjects and transported them down to staging.

9/2/23 – Mt. Rose Injured Mountain Biker

SAR Staff, Hasty BC, and WCSAR BC responded to the Tannenbaum area to assist TMFR with an injured mountain biker. As SAR teams were arriving, it was determined that enough TMFR personnel were on scene to handle the situation. SAR response was cancelled.

9/2/23 – Burning Man Standby

SAR Staff, RAVEN, and the SVU were requested to be on standby in the event any medical evacuations needed to be conducted at the flooded Burning Man event. RAVEN staged at the hangar, and the SVU was sent to the county yard at Gerlach. No missions were required.

8/27/23 – Stranded Subjects Henness Pass Rd.

SAR Staff and the SVU responded to the Verdi area to access two subjects and a dog that were stranded at a location near Henness Pass Rd. Once the subjects were located, they were transported to staging in Verdi and given a ride to their residence in Reno.
