5/21/2015 – Stuck Snowcat

SAR Staff, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the Mt. Rose summit to locate and rescue two subjects in a snowcat near the top of Relay Ridge. The Telecommunications snowcat had partially slid off the road while attempting to access the communication towers on the peak. A SAR snowcat located the subjects, and with some shoveling and pulling, brought the errant snowcat back onto the road. Both snowcats backed down the road, got turned around, and returned to staging.
