8/17/25 – Stranded Hunters

SAR Staff and the SVU staged approximately 18 miles north of Gerlach on CR34 to access three hunters that were stranded due to their vehicle having a mechanical issue. As teams were leaving staging, the hunters were able to contact dispatch through satellite texting to say they had contacted an organization that would extract them and the vehicle.
