7/14/19 – Three Lost Mountain Bikers

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, and the SVU responded to a staging location in the Lakeview Estates in order to access the Hobart Reservoir area. Three teens had taken some wrong turns after being dropped off in the Sheeps Flat area with a destination of Diamond Peak Lodge. The group had ended up on the east side of the crest to the south of Little Valley, not on a trail. A back-country foot team was delivered to a location as close as side x sides could get to the provided coordinates. The three subjects were located in the general area of the ping coordinates and were guided to a pick-up location. They, and their bikes, were taken to a waiting SAR Staff vehicle at Red House for the ride out. A family member was at the staging location to pick them up.
