SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the NDF station on the Mt. Rose Highway for staging in reference to a lost skier in the upper Davis Creek drainage area. The skier had taken a route into the out-of-bounds area and couldn’t get back up to the ski resort. He decided to go downhill, but ended up in brush and manzanita and wasn’t sure where to go. A ski team was deployed from the Slide Mountain side of the Mt. Rose Ski Resort, and a foot team was sent in on the Hibbits Rd. trail. The ski team located the subject and escorted him downhill to Davis Creek Park. Other than being a bit cold, the subject did not complain of any medical issues. He was brought back to staging, and given a ride to his vehicle at the Mt. Rose Ski Resort.
