7/28/2017 – Lost Mountain Bikers

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR began responding to the Sheeps Flat area to search for three lost mountain bikers that intended to follow the Tahoe Rim Trail, southward. They became lost and called for help. When coordinates were plotted, they were shown to be east of the trail in some very steep country, and about 1.5 miles south of the Diamond Peak Ski Resort. As teams were en route, they were able to find the trail. They contacted authorities that they no longer needed assistance. SAR response was cancelled.
