Recent Searches – 8/29/2013

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, SVU, and WCSAR responded to the area of Atoma Rd., across from the Mt.Rose Ski area, to search for a lost subject that had last been seen the prior evening near the waterfalls on the Mt. Rose trail.  The subject’s cell phone location came back to a rugged area on the north side of Galena Creek, approximately 1.25 miles west of the Atoma area.  Ground teams were able to locate the subject, who was dressed in only a shirt, shorts, and shoes, and was quite dehydrated.  He was given water and snacks, then escorted about .75 miles to a pick-up point where side x sides transported him back to staging.
