7/2/19 – Horseman’s Park Missing Subject

SAR Staff, Hasty Team, RAVEN, REMSA, SVU, and WCSAR assisted RPD in searching for a missing subject in the Horseman’s Park area of southwest Reno. The subject, who had gone hiking for the day, was last seen at approximately 0800hrs, and was in phone contact at around 1500hrs. with a family member, saying that he was tired but not having any problems. Search teams were called at around 0130hrs. Teams searched trails and streets in the area, along with the hills to the southwest. A REMSA unit that was stationed at the command post was changing shifts and located the subject, walking along the road in the area of Lakeside and Moana. He claims he had been abducted and robbed.
